　　arrive in到達，抵達；London倫敦；railway station火車站；the way to…到某個地方的路；porter n.搬運工；carefully adv.仔細地；clearly adv.清晰地；understand vt.理解，明白；repeat vt.重復；several幾個；neither…nor…(否定式)既不。。。也不。。。；foreigner n.外國人；smile v.微笑；wonder v.揣測，搞不懂，想知道；language n.語言

　　Part II：語法學習

　　1.…， so…句型；…， but…句型

　　so引導從句，表示的是某種結果，當這種結果更為強烈時，則用therefore；but引導的也是從句，表示的是一種轉折關系；當轉折關系更為強烈時，則用however。

　　示例1：I did not know the way to my hotel， so I asked a porter.

　　示例2：He answered me， but he spoke neither slowly nor clearly.

　　2.not only…but…as well句型

　　這個句型與not only…but also…含義相同，只是結構上的差異而已，所以，請特別注意它們的套用模式。

　　示例：I not only spoke English very carefully， but very clearly as well.
